Hand Sewing Workshop For Teens

Hand Sewing Workshop For Teens In-Person

Do you want to learn the basics of hand sewing? Do you want to make a fun zipper pouch? Or a felt wallet? Do you want to begin your journey of becoming a person who makes their own stuff?? If so, join us for a beginner’s hand sewing workshop in the Talbert Room at the Central Library, November 24th at 5PM!

There will be two options for participants: felt wallet/coin purse or fabric pouches! Felt is easier in terms of sight, size, grip, and fraying edges. Felt is also a better option for creating a uniquely shaped project! Fabric requires slightly more detail and a closer view of the project, but will be easier to puncture. Fabric is a straightforward process that is good for beginners who want to work on their precision.

Please note, this session is for teens only. The sewing workshop for Adults is on November 10th, 2025 at 6PM.
