SUMMARY:Oak View Chess Club
DESCRIPTION:Oak View Branch Library invites children ages 7 & up\, and 
 teens to join us this free of charge Chess Club every Saturday from 
 2:30-4:30 pm!  Keep a close eye on our calendar or your email just in case 
 we need to cancel any chess club meetings. \n\nWe offer limited chess 
 instruction. A short lesson will take place on the first Saturday of each 
 month. Instruction is provided by volunteers: We are not trained chess 
 instructors. We will teach the basics of chess to your child/teen\, but 
 improvement requires time outside of the library to study and play.\n\nWe 
 are not currently accredited with the United States Chess Federation (USCF) 
 so we do not conduct official tournaments. This may or may not change in 
 the future. If you would like to participate in official tournaments\, we 
 ask you register yourself or your child with the USCF on your own. 
 \n\nGuidelines\n\nAll participants no matter their age must follow the The 
 Huntington Beach Public Library (HBPL) behavior policy which is posted 
 within the Oak View Branch Library. Those who do not comply with the 
 behavior policy shall be asked to leave the premises and\, depending on 
 severity\, may be excluded from future chess activities.\n\nFollowing HBPL 
 Behavior Policy\, do not leave children 12 years old and younger 
 unsupervised (they may be supervised by someone 12 years old and older). 
 This is for the safety of your child and our staff.\n\n For more
