Ever wanted a subscription box like OwlCrate or Loot Crate, but don’t want to pay a crazy monthly fee to get cool stuff? HBPL is now offering a similar subscription service for teens & tweens! Sign up each month to receive a library book (or two) handpicked to match your reading preferences, and some themed monthly surprises. Here's How It Works:

1. If you would like to get a Teen or Tween Book Box, you must sign up through this online registration before the 15th of each month in order to receive the next month's box. This is not an ongoing subscription - you will need to sign up for each month you would like to receive a box.
    
2. Once you register, you will receive a confirmation email with a Google Form link to be filled out with your reading preferences. This helps us select just the right book for you! There will also be a space to tell us if you have any food allergies or restrictions - we want to make sure we only send you treats you can enjoy.
    
3. When your Book Box is ready to be picked up around the 1st of the next month, we'll send you an email with pickup instructions. Boxes may be picked up from our holds shelf and checked out onto your library card, like you would a book or DVD. You will have three weeks to pick up your box.
    
4. Please return the cardboard box back to the library as soon as possible! We reuse the boxes each month, and your cooperation helps us keep this awesome program running! The library books inside will be due back at the library 3 weeks after you picked up your box (but you can always renew them and keep them longer if you need more time to read). The rest of the box's contents will be yours to keep! You will also find a review sheet inside your box to give us feedback on your personalized pick. Returning this when you're done reading is super important because it helps us pick out even better selections for you next time you subscribe!
    
5. When you return your box, or are are done with your book, please return them through the book drop at any of our HBPL library locations: Central, Banning Branch, Oak View, Murphy Branch, or Main Street. Your book and box must be returned if you want to sign up for another box.
