SUMMARY:Oak View Chess Club
DESCRIPTION:\n\nWelcome to the Chess Club! \n\nInformation for Parents and
Participants \n\nOak View Branch Library invites children ages 8 & up\, and
teens to join us for Chess Club on Saturdays from 2:30-4:00 pm! New
participants are welcome to join the Chess Club on the first Saturday of
every month. \n\nInstruction is provided by staff and volunteers\, who will
help participants in the fundamentals of chess. Chess requires a lot of
play time and study\, so we encourage participants to continue their
learning and play at home. \n\nWe are not currently accredited with the
United States Chess Federation (USCF)\, so we do not conduct official
tournaments. If you would like to participate in official tournaments\, we
encourage you to register yourself or your child with the USCF on your own.
\n\nGuidelines \n\nAll participants no matter their age must follow the
Huntington Beach Public Library (HBPL) behavior policy\, which is posted
within the Oak View Branch Library\, and club etiquette. Those who do not
comply with the behavior policy or etiquette shall be asked to leave the
premises and\, depending on severity\, may be excluded from future chess
activities. \n\nFollowing HBPL Behavior Policy\, do not leave children 12
years old and younger unsupervised (they may be supervised by someone 12
years old and older). This is for the safety of your child\, our staff\,
and our volunteers. \n\nFor more information\, please call (714)375-5068.
\n\nClub Etiquette \n\n\n	Keep voices down \n	Stay focused on chess \n	If
you have a question\, ask staff or a volunteer without yelling \n	If you

Participantes\n\nLa Biblioteca Sucursal Oak View invita a niños a partir
