Teen Life Skills: How To Achieve Your Financial Goals In-Person
In this hands-on workshop presented by SchoolsFirst Federal Credit Union, teens ages 14 - 18 will learn critical money management skills, including: budgeting basics, how to avoid debt and fees, how to write checks, and how to save and invest in your future financial goals.
Our upcoming March session, also presented by SchoolsFirst FCU, offers more financial literacy skill development with a deep dive into how credit affects your life.
Life Skills for Teens is a monthly program series offered by HBPL Teen Services designed to give high school aged teens ages 14 - 18 an opportunity to learn important skills they may have missed out on learning elsewhere - like first aid, money management, car care, and more! Our Life Skills courses support and prepare teens for their lives after high school - in college, career, or adulthood beyond.
For each monthly session a student attends, they will receive volunteer service credit from the Huntington Beach Public Library in return for their attendance and participation in these events.
Contact our Teen Services Librarian with your recommendations or potential community partnerships!
