Teen Life Skills: Hands-Only CPR & First Aid

Teen Life Skills: Hands-Only CPR & First Aid In-Person

In this hands-on workshop presented by our Huntington Beach Fire Department, teens ages 14 - 18 will learn lifesaving first aid skills for emergency situations including hands-only CPR, how to safely use an AED machine, and training for critical wound care.

Participants will also have an opportunity to become a HeartSafe HB Ambassador, and help spread the lifesaving skill of hands-only CPR to others in our community.

Life Skills for Teens is a monthly program series offered by HBPL Teen Services designed to give high school aged teens ages 14 - 18 an opportunity to learn important skills they may have missed out on learning elsewhere - like first aid, money management, car care, and more! Our Life Skills courses support and prepare teens for their lives after high school - in college, career, or adulthood beyond.

For each monthly session a student attends, they will receive volunteer service credit from the Huntington Beach Public Library in return for their attendance and participation in these events.
