Mindful Expressions: Teen Theatre Series In-Person
The Huntington Beach Public Library is proud to partner with Laguna Playhouse to bring a summer theatre series for high school teens ages 14 to 18! Mindful Expressions: Cultural Art and Mental Wellness will use Theatre Arts exercises to provide a safe space for self-expression and youth empowerment. Teens will participate in creating a short production exploring mental health issues within their communities. Then, they will rehearse weekly for six weeks on Wednesdays from 6:00-8:00pm beginning July 3rd through August 7th. Their work will culminate in a one-day performance showing on August 11th in our big Library Theater! Teens interested in any aspect of theatre, from acting and writing to set design and stage management are encouraged to register. No theater experience is required!
Spots are limited; please register below to participate! Teens must be able to commit to the full six weeks of rehearsals.
