Crafting Across Continents: Teen Henna Workshop

Crafting Across Continents: Teen Henna Workshop In-Person

Explore the importance of henna in Pakistani culture through an interactive workshop for teens ages 13-18 fully taught by Sabah Alidina, one of our Winter 2023 teen interns! Participants will learn how to create beautiful temporary skin tattoo designs using henna paste while learning Urdu vocabulary. All materials will be provided. Please be advised that although the henna paste provided is made from 100% pure henna powder with no added chemicals, such as PPD, a signed safety waiver is required for all participants. This event is only open to teens between the ages of 13-18.

This program is offered as part of the HBPL Teens Work Internship as a portion of a teen intern's Connected Learning Project. HBPL Teens Work is supported in whole or in part by funding provided by the State of California, administered by the California State Library.
