Teens Craft For A Cause: OC Animal Care Center In-Person
Calling all teen volunteers ages 13 to 18! Come earn your volunteer service credit by creating fleece catnip toys, no-sew fleece tie blankets, and rice sock heating pads for shelter pets at the OC Animal Care Center. All necessary materials will be provided for cutting and tying fleece blankets, cutting and filling fleece catnip twists, and filling rice socks. Volunteers are invited to bring along their spare knee, tube, or crew socks (recently washed and free of holes!) to be turned into additional heating pads. This drop-in style volunteer event is open to any and all teen volunteers between the ages of 13 and 18. Registration for this event is used to ensure we do not exceed the room capacity of 70 volunteers. Volunteers are not required to stay for the entire duration of the event, and will earn volunteer credit based on the length of time they participate and satisfactory craft completion. If confirmation of service hours at this event is needed, volunteers are responsible for bringing their own volunteer service verification forms to the event to be signed by a Librarian upon satisfactory craft completion.
